Great Win for Leslie Wood Team Well Done to the Leslie F Wood Team for their fantastic victory over our sister club and last years champions Channels. The team won 12-3 but special mention must go to Ryan Cox who at the age of 12 became the youngest team member in Warley Parks history, not content with setting that record he also collected wins in both his Foursomes and Singles matches. Well done lads and good luck in the next round. Youth Shield Win v Thorndon Park Our Youth Shield Team secured a great victory at Thorndon Park winning 4-1 Lloyd Glover; won 1st extra hole Shaun Wilding; won 1up Bailee Curren; lost 4&3 Ryan Cox; won 2&1 Jack Fenton; won 1up Reserves Josh pool won and Michael Carlton lost Well done lads, keep up the good work Course Update With the advent of sping hopefully imminent we can reflect on what has been a long and difficult winter. However as i look around the course i am sure you will agree with me that the course has ‘stood up’ well and with everything cut is at present asthetically pleasing. Most of the winter projects are have now been completed and we are just awaiting for temperatures to rise, at which time we will be busy fertilising and topdresing to take the course forward. One recent project is the removal of the reeds and brambles from the pond/lake edges. The banks of the pond/lakes will be grassed/sloped from the main playing surface and seeded with a grass mix.
