    OUT OF BOUNDS Rule 2 – Local Rules 8A

    Beyond white posts on practice field, putting green, patio, car park, practice field and right of the 9th (Warley) hole. Over any boundary fence or hedge bordering the course. On or over the Car Park and white fence on the right of the 9th (Warley) hole.

    PENALTY AREA – WATER HAZARDS Rule 17
    The lake across the 4th, 7th & 8th and 18th (Warley) holes, to the right of the 9th (Warley) hole are defined by the natural margins of the hazard.

    Yellow/Red stakes define the margin of the hazard in all other ponds and ditches on the Course.

    PROTECTION OF YOUNG TREES Rule 16.1f – Local Rules E10

    Young trees identified by stakes or white bands are no play zones. If a player’s ball lies anywhere on the course other than in a penalty area and it lies or touches such a tree, or such a tree interferes with a player’s stance or area of intended swing, the players MUST take relief under rule 16.1f.

    TEES, TRENCHES & WHITE PAINT Rule 16.1b – Local Rules E10

    Areas marked with white paint and trenches filled with sand are “Abnormal Course Conditions” and the player MUST tale relief under Rule 16.1f.

    IMMOVABLE OBSTRUCTIONS Rule 16

    The following are immovable obstructions and are covered by Rule 16.1 of the Rules of Golf: The Wishing Well — Footbridges — Bench Seats — Leaderboards — Tee Marker Boards — Protective Netting — Cinder Brokeshell or Stone Paths — Pop-up Sprinkler Heads and Manhole Covers — Drainage Strips.

    DISTANCE MEASURING DEVICES AS PER RULES OF GOLF Rule 4.3a

    These are allowed providing they measure distance only. Should a device measure other conditions that might affect their play (e.g. gradient, wind speed, temperature etc) the player is in breach of rule 4.3 for which the first breach is a General Penalty (2 strokes in Strokeplay and loss of hole in match play) and the second breach is disqualification, regardless of whether such additional functions are actually used.

    EMBEDDED BALL Rule 16.3b and Local Rule E2

    When a player’s ball is embedded in the General Area , the player may take free relief by lifting, cleaning and dropping thew ball within the relief area of one club length from the spot right behind the ball no nearer to the hole.

    8th hole – Drop zone

    A drop zone is located adjacent to the men’s 9th white tee.

    Ground Under Repair (GUR)

    White and white/green posts on tree stumps and bunkers indicate GUR. Other GUR is indicated by white lines.
